Responsibilities
About the team The Regulatory Delivery and Transparency (RDT) function is the strategic partner for multiple TikTok departments such as Trust & Safety, Legal Compliance, Public Policy, and Communications where we create public-facing assets that increase understanding of TikTok’s safety efforts. As a Content Strategist, you will manage content strategy, delivery, maintenance, and localization across all T&S sites (e.g., Safety Center and Transparency Center). You will ensure consistency, clarity, and cadence in public-facing content to support user education and build trust. You will draft key regulatory reports, such as Digital Services Act (DSA), and Code of Conduct on Disinformation (COCD). This role requires exceptional writing skills, the ability to pitch content to different external audiences, considerable tech-safety policy expertise, strong regulatory awareness, and excellent cross-functional collaboration. – Drive the content strategy for TikTok’s T&S safety websites, e.g. Safety Center and Transparency Center and define long-term strategic goals related to the transparency of our policies and user education. – Identify strategic opportunities to align approaches, leverage existing resources, with a view to increase the quality, accessibility and visibility of transparency efforts. – Author high-quality, engaging and accessible content related to Trust & Safety Policies and transparency work. – Draft key transparency and regulatory reports e.g., the Digital Services Act (DSA), Code of Conduct on Disinformation (COCD), and other regional and country specific regs. – Organize and articulate ambiguous and complex ideas or issues into clear documentation and analysis. – Collaborate and drive consensus with cross-functional teams, including senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: – 5 years of experience in the technology/social media/safety policy space, e.g., Trust & Safety policy, public policy, policy communications, or civil society. – Strong understanding of tech sector regulation and industry-specific regulatory challenges. – Demonstrated experience executing a content strategy, including managing, curating, and drafting content for large-scale platforms, in public policy, policy comms or civil society. – Experience leading or contributing to large-scale transparency and user education initiatives within a tech or policy environment. – Impeccable written communication skills. – A proven ability to author significant policy content for a diverse range of stakeholders. – Deep understanding of content safety considerations, including online abuse, minor safety, human rights, freedom of expression, and privacy rights. Preferred Qualifications: – Experience in Trust & Safety, Product, or Policy teams within a tech company. – Experience drafting or contributing to regulatory compliance workstreams, particularly in the EMEA region. – Experience working at a global UGC platform. – Project management experience. – Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
