About The Dock

The Dock is Accenture’s flagship R&D and Global Innovation Center, based in Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock. As an incubation hub for the next generation of AI and GenAI agentic solutions, The Dock brings together a global community of business strategists, designers, engineers, data scientists, and entrepreneurs.

Our mission is to solve some of the world’s hardest problems and create transformational products and services that help industries thrive in the face of unprecedented change. From shaping the future of work with intelligent systems to building breakthrough digital platforms, our team operates across the entire innovation spectrum, from exploration to real-world deployment.

At The Dock, we experiment boldly, collaborate openly, and build the future in real time.

As a Data Scientist you will:

  • Be at the forefront of our data-driven initiatives, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that guide strategic business decisions.
  • You’ll design, develop, and deploy machine learning models, leveraging a wide array of statistical and analytical techniques to solve real-world problems.
  • Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, from product managers to engineers, to understand business needs and translate them into robust data solutions.
  • You’ll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of a project, from data collection and cleaning to model evaluation and deployment, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • You will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong foundation in programming, statistics, and machine learning, eager to drive innovation and create tangible value from our data assets.

We’re looking for a professional who brings:

  • Real-world experience applying data science, machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and modelling techniques to solve complex problems—ideally in commercial or R&D settings.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with practical knowledge of ML/DL tools and frameworks.
  • Expertise in natural language processing (NLP) and working with large language models (LLMs).
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, with a track record of delivering successful outcomes in uncertain environments.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience, supporting junior team members and contributing to team growth.
  • Cloud experience, preferably with Azure, AWS or GCP, and familiarity with various data storage technologies (e.g. relational, document, knowledge graph).
  • Experience in designing and presenting proofs-of-concept, and contributing to ideation sessions and client workshops with a data & AI lens.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is preferred.

We don’t expect you to meet all of the above, so if you think this opportunity would be a good fit – apply! We would love to hear from you.
