About the Team The Account Safety team takes on a critical role in ensuring platform safety on TikTok’s account’s domains, and user experience. By proactively addressing & reviewing safety concerns and enhancing operational efficiency, the team ensures TikTok’s mission of providing a safe, smooth, and enjoyable experience for users worldwide. Our Quality Assurance Analysts audit and review our Moderation teams, handling appeals, audits, feedback and providing support on ad hoc policy questions. Our Operations team moderate millions of videos globally every day, ensuring we are bringing only safe content to our users. Our frontline teams interact with images, video, text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals. As a Quality Assurance Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing building and training a quality assurance team. You will manage a team of quality assurance specialists and drive continuous improvements by evaluating key project metrics. Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring a strong understanding of quality assurance guidelines and standards within your team and relevant cross-functional stakeholders in the business. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and guidance to the team members, including hiring and onboarding new team members, setting clear goals, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, provide constructive feedback, identifying areas for improvement, and recognizing exceptional performance. Develop and implement performance improvement plans as needed. Lead and inspire the team in a goal and results-orientated way by driving optimum individual and team performance in order to deliver against agreed targets and KPIs. Analyze team core metrics (Completion rate, Consistency rate, and Quality data), and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Generate reports and present findings to stakeholders, providing recommendations to enhance data quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Policy team, moderation team, and partnership teams to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience; an advanced degree is preferred. – At least 3-years in Content Moderation/Quality Assurance, with a minimum of 1-year as Team Leader (recently managing TnQ or Moderation team) in Trust and Safety. Demonstrated leadership, with hard & soft skills suitable to this role. – Quality Assurance & Training experience is a must. – Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. – Proven track record of working with cross-functional partners, across different countries/time zones. – Exceptional oral and written and communication skills. – Ability to adapt rapidly to changing work environments, work priorities, and organisational needs. Preferred Qualifications: – Knowledge of internet governance and social media, as well as extensive familiarity with T&S – Multi-market management experience.
