Role Title – Handling Operative PM Shift
Business Unit – DHL Global Forwarding
Location- Cedar Drive, Dublin Airport Logistics Park
Scope of Role – Handles cargo movement & performs loading and unloading of trucks/containers as per Instructions.
Reports to – National Handling Manager
Days & Hours of Work – Monday – Thursday 14.00– 21.00 (37.5 hour week) Friday 14.00-2.00am

Accountabilities
Key activities
- Key Accountabilities
- Takes part in all cleaning functions daily and signs off check sheet.
- Ensures contracted suppliers comply with company quality procedures.
- Maintains pro-active communication/relationship with peers/superiors and especially informs superior immediately of discrepancies, problems or non-performance or non-observance
- Label Import / Export freight as required.
- Load & Offload domestic and international vehicles, mark manifests and notify discrepancies and damages.
- Complete any warehouse related documentation is completed for operations.
- Ensures all warehouse related tasks are performed in the Road freight application (EVO) Air Freight (FSI)
- Action Operational irregularities / customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Ensures all physical barcode scanning is performed as require.
- Ensures good housekeeping, bins emptied daily.
- Co-ordinates loading and offloading of Ocean/Air Road Export/Import and Domestic vehicles from Monday to Friday, and completes final weekly inventories.
- Ordering, stock control, maintenance of warehouse supplies / equipment
- Monitors day to day H&S in the warehouse and highlight areas of concern.
- Facilitates customer & quality audits.
- Controls DGF bonded warehouse
- Work closely with Yardman to manage trailer capacity and lane control.
- Ensure all import/export manifests and trailer check sheets are printed off for each load.
- When trailers are loaded/offloaded make sure that both manifest sheets are marked with any discrepancies and signed by the person that offloaded the trailer.
- Ensure that all documents and manifests are forwarded to the designated site location as soon as possible.
- Ensures compliance with all health and safety guidelines and procedures and verifies that all team members and visitors entering the warehouse are equipped with full personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure operational compliance to all revenue and international trade legislative requirements, and all requirements under Data Protection Legislation in addition to all DGF IE policies and procedures (H&S, Quality, Environmental, HR, etc), and work in a manner that supports the Company environment programme.
- Participate in the implementation of operational processes and perform work to the standards of Good Distribution practice (GDP) for Life Science business, as required.
