Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of warehouse operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials. This role supports production activities through effective inventory management, adherence to quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Warehouse Supervisor leads a team of warehouse operatives and collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics teams to maintain optimal material flow within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control

  • Oversee all warehouse activities including goods-in, goods-out, put-away, picking, kitting, and material issuance to production.
  • Ensure accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain compliance with Johnson Controls and Silent-Aire policies, including safety, quality, and documentation standards.
  • Monitor stock movements, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure all material handling equipment is operated safely and maintained appropriately.

Compliance, Safety & Quality

  • Ensure all warehouse operations are completed in accordance with HSE regulations and internal safety protocols.
  • Promote a safe working environment through regular safety audits and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal quality controls.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Use ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) for inventory accuracy and workflow tracking.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements related to material flow, space utilisation, and stock accuracy.
  • Support Lean initiatives (5S, standard work, waste elimination).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on process enhancements.

Logistics & Coordination

  • Coordinate inbound shipments, liaise with suppliers, and manage freight/carriers when required.
  • Support production planning by ensuring timely availability of materials.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy for shipping, receiving, and material transactions.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management, and ERP systems.
  • Valid forklift certification (Counterbalance and/or Reach).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
